Local practices -- with the opportunities to play in games and tournaments at the top of your player's ability.
Five Star Alliance is an integrated part of Five Star West, led by Derric Waller, one of the best coaches and leaders in the San Diego region with a long history of helping players excel in high school baseball, and beyond. This program will have some of the best teams in all of San Diego enabling those top players the opportunities to showcase their skills in hopes of playing in college, or beyond. We will also provide player development opportunities for all players looking to improve during the Summer and Fall in preparation for high school baseball.
Five Star Alliance players are typically players that were developed in youth baseball programs in the Inland North County region (e.g. Crush, Hawks) and compete as a collective group enabling our top players to play in the biggest national events.
Five Star SD and Five Star West draw from all over San Diego, and Southern California, respectively. We have locations throughout the county.
Our Five Star Alliance group will focus our training at locations in Inland North County and will include, but is not limited to:
Del Norte High School*
Mt Carmel High School
Poway High School
RB Community Park
The Nest Baseball Academy
* Del Norte varsity field will no longer be available for off-season usage by any outside organizations. There is a chance that the Freshman field may have some work done this Summer, and be of limited usage, as well.
We will also partner to bring next level training opportunities to our players and teams.
Five Star West, as an affiliate of 5 STAR National, they have access to select bids to event like USA West Coast Nationals, AZ Fall Classic, CCYB, Perfect Game and on D1 Team Camps.
And are leaders with college commits in San Diego.
While our most talented players will have regional and national opportunities to player --- All players that are part of our Five Star Alliance will get the opportunity to play in games and develop as an in-game player, at a level that they earn through their hard work and skills.
Select Events and Tournaments
The FIVE STAR SD summer schedule is beginning to take shape, highlighted by some of the biggest regional tournaments and recruiting events. Tournament and recruiting events are additional, and are divided among the players participating. There can be adjustments for players that do not fully participate either because of availability or due to a reduced role (i.e. pitcher only).
